Ham Rec Res. 1 Herrington 3
With our pitch in a bad way we moved the game to Corfe Mullen Rec -
The game started at a decent pace with Harrington having the best of the play. To be fair to the lads the conditions were very difficult however, we really started the game badly and were struggling to make even the basic passes or tackles. Having said that Sam (who was our best player by a mile) was causing them problems down the wing and his crosses led to a couple of chances that we should have scored from.
I think if we had taken these chances it might have been a different result, poor play by our defence led to Harrington's 1st goal and we went into the break losing 1.0.
Early in the 2nd half we should have been 2 down. Maitland came for a cross and missed it but luckily for us the ref had seen a foul and did not allow the goal.
Again we just couldn't get into the game and were going down without a fight for the 2nd week in a row.
Harrington soon got an easy 2nd to put them 2.0 up. We eventually got a late goal
to make it 2.1 when Ash Ayley scored. However, rather than try and get an equaliser
our defence went to sleep and let them in to make it 3.1 -
