Bridport Res. 0  Ham Rec 7
After a pretty dismal start to the day, weather wise, the sun was out to greet “The Green army” when they arrived at Bridport.  After an emphatic victory the previous week it was vital Hamworthy kept their momentum going by taking all 3 points.
The game was only minutes old when the visitors took the lead after a Jamie Moores’ lob; 1-0.  Rec settled down but could not turn their superiority into goals.  As the minutes ticked by the home team worked harder and harder and as Rec’s passing deteriorated a dismal afternoon of football and a one nil victory looked likely as Bridport never threatened Kevin Leonard in the visitors goal.
As half time was drawing closer Rec hit the bar and this injected some life into their game.  Sam Griffin and Ashley Boyt looked lively and were causing all sorts of problems. A ball into the box from Griffin was met by Ryan Lucas who made the half time score 2-0.
Young Ollie Tomsett replaced Lucas at half time due to injury and made an immediate impact seconds after the restart.  A series of one touch passes led to Ollie “A Star” Tomsett hitting the ball from the edge of the box past the keeper; 3-0. From the Bees kick off they (!) found Shaun Brian whose diagonal ball over the top was latched onto by Moores who calmly slotted the ball home for 4-0.  Moores completed his hatrick in the 56th minute before making way for Ashley Ayley.
Phil  “Stag night 14th Nov,[book it in]” Sweetland came on for Rich Sands.  The visitors found time for Griffin to get on the score sheet before Mike Notley rounded off the scoring.
Manager Gareth Daniel said “We can't be at our best all the time but we were pleased to get a few goals in the second half and make the score line reflect the difference between the sides.”
Leonard, Marsh, Brian, Walden, Hounsell, Lucas [Tomsett 45], Sands [Sweetland 63], Boyt, Griffin, Notley, Moores [Ayley 60].
